WHO WE ARE

SEPAC stands for Special Needs Parent Advisory Committee. The Woodcliff Lake SEPAC is a group of parents and educators who work for the understanding of, respect for and support of all children with special needs and learning challenges in our community.

We have Board Meetings throughout the year, where we share information, connect with the school administration, and discuss ways to improve the experience of special needs students in our school and community. Parents are invited to attend SEPAC meetings to discuss their questions, concerns and ideas, or just come to connect with other parents who have children with special needs.

SEPAC also hosts events and workshops for parents which are posted in the Woodcliff Weekly e-mail and school calendars and on our events page.

All members of the school community are invited to come to our meetings, events and workshops. Many of the topics are relevant to parents of typical children, as well as those with special needs, so we encourage everyone in the Woodcliff Lake school community to attend.

WHAT WE DO

SEPAC members work throughout the year to:

  • Build a network of parents of children with special needs within the Woodcliff Lake Community

  • Share information and resources

  • Host informational events and workshops

  • Support the relationship between the special needs parent community and the school administration

  • Promote a positive experience for children with special needs in school and extracurricular activities
