FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I come to SEPAC Meetings?

All members of the Woodcliff Lake school community are welcome to attend SEPAC meetings.

What is the difference between a SEPAC meeting and an event?

Our meetings are a small group format for discussing ideas, understanding parent needs, sharing information and giving feedback to the school administration.  Events are organized to address specific topics, usually with a speaker or panel invited to present to parents and the school community.

Are SEPAC events just for parents of kids with special needs?

All members of the Woodcliff Lake school community are welcome to attend SEPAC events, they are not only for parents of children with special needs.  Check our events page to see what events are coming up.

Can I join the SEPAC Board?

Yes, we are currently seeking members to join the Board.  If you are interested, please contact one of the Board Members or the Supervisor of Special Education. Click here to access the list of Board Members.

Can SEPAC help me with my child's IEP or come to an IEP meeting with me?

SEPAC is a group of parent volunteers, so we are not able to help with individual IEPs or go to IEP meetings. If you need help with your child's IEP, you should contact your case manager or the Supervisor of Special Education.

If I have an issue with my child's teacher or a situation at school, should I contact SEPAC?

To get immediate issues resolved, you should contact the teacher, principal, guidance counselor, or child study team. To connect with other parents of children with special needs, and to get ideas from other parents, come to the SEPAC meetings or reach out to the SEPAC parent coordinator.
